Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard is a First Person Shooter developed by Ubisoft and published by Gameloft. It is a spin off game of the popular game series by . It was released on the 17th March 2011 for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

Rainbow Six is a First and Third Person Shooter. The game is squad-based and some of the levels require stealth to complete. The game is normally in First Person, however the player can move to cover, avoiding enemy fire, and the game will become third person. The aspect of stealth is introduced with using your squad to enter rooms. This can be done using smoke grenades or tagging enemies to shoot first and second. The game also has a multiplayer Deathmatch mode in which players race to get their team to the most kills using the same mechanics as single player.

The game is set a few years in the future. New technologies mean bigger threats, and the Rainbow Squadron are out to stop them. Training takes place in Government Headquarters in an unknown location. Here the player is taught the basics of the game.

The first level sees an embassy seiged and hostages taken. The 3 members of Rainbow successfully eliminate the leader and free the hostages. It turns out that they are working for a bigger organization.
