The Unreal Engine is a Game Engine which is primarily used on consoles and PCs for a lot of games. Recently the Unreal Engine has made it's way onto iOS.

History[]

The Unreal Engine was first programmed in 1998 for Epic Games' debut game, Unreal. 2002 saw the release of the Unreal Engine 2, and in 2007, the Unreal Engine 3. In 2010, Infinity Blade became the first ever game to use the Unreal Engine on a Handheld Device. The most notable games that use the Unreal Engine include Infinity Blade, Dungeon Defenders and Dark Meadow.
